Aboutrika joins the 100 club
The Egyptian International player Mohamed Aboutrika made his 100th appearance with the Egyptian National Team when he played the World Cup qualifier against Guinea in El Gouna on Tuesday.
The Al Ahly player became the ninth Egyptian to join the century milestone after Ahmed Hassan “The Most Capped”, Hossam Hassan, Essam El Hadary, Ibrahim Hassan, Hany Ramzy, Abel Zaher El Saqua and Nader El Sayed.
Trika led his national team to a 4-2 victory over Guinea and scored the second goal, to achieve the full mark of the second stage of World Cup African qualifier with 18 points from six matches.
The 34-year-old man started his career with Pharaohs in March 2001 when he made his first debut against Estonia under the leadership of Mahmoud El Gouhary when he was with El Terrsana.
The long-term injury kept Trikafrom Egypt till he came back in March 2004 under the leadership of Marco Tardelli, before starting his bright history with the Pharaohs with Hassan Shehata when he led Egypt to win Afcon 2006 and 2008 before the injury bug got to him again in 2010.
In 2011, Trika became the seventh player to make 100 appearances in the Egyptian League with his team Al Ahly in their clash against Misr El Makasa following Hassan El Shazly, Hossam Hassan, Mostafa Reyad, Saied El Dozwey, Mahmoued El Khateb and Ahmed El Kas.
