Leopards sign Ugandan Mudde
AFC Leopards have completed the signing of utility Ugandan player Musa Mudde from Uganda Premier League side Simba.
According to the club’s secretary general George Aladwa, the highly-rated player who previously played for 2009 champions – Sofapaka – penned a two year deal until the end of the 2015 season.
“I can confirm that Musa Mudde is now officially an AFC Leopards player after we sealed the deal today (yesterday). We are also at an advanced stage of signing Sony Sugar’s goalie Wyclef Kasaya, Tusker defender Joseph Shikokoti, KCB striker Clifford Alwanga and Sofapaka captain James Situma,” Aladwa said.
Mudde will have to fight for a starting place with Kenya international Peter Opiyo, veteran Charles Okwemba, Edwin Seda, Bernard Mangoli, who is returning to Leopards after a loan spell at Sofapaka and Martin Imbalambala.
The club has embarked on a serious recruitment exercise ahead of their Caf Confederations Cup assignments next year, where Kenyan teams have perennially made no impact.
Meanwhile, the club will today hold their annual awards ceremony at a gala to feat outstanding players in Nairobi.
Aladwa said the gala will be followed by a night-long party dubbed ‘Ingwe night’ where fans, players and officials are invited to celebrate their achievements this year
