Uzamukunda blow for Amavubi, Iranzi summoned
French-based AS Cannes striker Elias Uzamukunda is out of the second leg of the preliminary round qualifier game against Libya due this Saturday in Kigali.
Uzamukunda returned back to France to process his work permit which was about to expire but with the delay, the technical staff have decided to do without him.
His work permit is supposed to be delivered on Friday and can’t travel on time for the Saturday game. Instead head coach Stephane Constantine has summoned Jean Claude Iranzi who has recovered from a knee injury to beef up his attacking force.
Meanwhile AS Vita of DR Congo striker Dady Birori and Belgium-based Royal Antwerp defender Salomon Nirisarike have already joined camp.
Nirisarike missed the first leg to work permit issues but he has since got a new one which has permitted him to honour this game.
Rwanda needs a win to go through to the next round of the qualifiers. They played a goalless draw in Tunis where the first leg was played.
