Amissi scores on debut for Clube do Chibuto
Burundian striker Cedric Amissi was on target as his new club, Clube do Chibuto thrashed Desportivo de Nacal 4-1 on June 15 in the Mozambican football league.
Amissi received a six-month ban by Ferwafa for his violent action in April during a league game which pitted his former club Rayon Sports against AS Kigali. This game which ended in a 1-all draw hindered the Nyanza-based club’s chances of retaining the league title.
The 2013 top striker in Rwanda has signed a three-year contract with the Mozambican club. However, his move to Mozambique is in question after it was completed with an International Transfer Certificate from Rwanda Football Federation which is usually processed upon the club’s permission.
Rayon Sports is still waiting for Amissi to answer questions or else the club will take the matter to Fifa. He still had three months left on his contract with the blues before he decided to ditch them.
