Four Isonga players shown exit
Four young players who were signed at the start of the season by Primus National Football League side Isonga Football Club have released with the season coming half way.
The development was confirmed by Isonga FC Secretary General Sandra Muhimpundu recently, saying that the players were sacked because they proved unproductive to the club’s ambition.
The players released include; Fiston Buzizi, Cedric Iratuzi, Innocent Gafishi and Fidele Habinshuti.
The club, which forms the core part of the U-17 national team, has started the process to find new players from local academies and talent detection centres to replace to the quartet.
Isonga finished in the top six last season in its debut season in the top flight division but is struggling to repeat last year’s impressive form after selling almost half the squad to rival teams before the start of the current campaign.
Isonga sold eight players, including U-20 skipper Emery Bayisenge, Héritier Turatsinze, François Hakizimana, Michel Rusheshangoga, Eric Nsabimana, Isaac Muganza, Jacques Cyubahiro and Farouk Saifi Ruhinda to league champions APR.
Goalkeeper Marcel Nzarora and centre back Faustin Usengimana joined Rayon Sport, while striker Hamidu Ndayisaba signed for AS Kigali.
