Rayon appoint new assistant coach
Six-time league champions Rayon Sport have appointed Mbusa Kombi Billy as an assistant coach replacing Ally Bizimungu who sacked early this month.
The club president Abdallah Murenzi said on Tuesday, “We have appointed Billy as an assistant coach on request of the head coach Didier Gomes da Rosa whom we had mandated to find a replacement after we sacked Bizimungu,”
“We have no doubt that the pair will work together to improve the level of the club’s football. We want silverware this season and the technical staff are capable of doing it,” added Murenzi.
The blues have also deducted 1/3 of the monthly salary that their striker Jerome Sina earns after he went away without club permission a few days ago.
Murenzi also confirmed that the club is on verge of signing three players [not identified] who include two strikers and one defender.
In other things that club wants to do include preparing Rayon Sport weeks which be comprised of two key important issues namely; starting fun clubs across the country as well as visiting the existing clubs in bid to bring the club nearer to its fans.
Rayon Sport finished the first leg placed third with 25 points, one behind leaders SC Kiyovu on the Primus National Football league standings.
