Amavubi climb up Fifa rankings
Rwanda has climbed seven places to 130 in the latest Fifa world rankings, released on Thursday.
The improvement of rankings came after Amavubi drew 2-2 against Uganda Cranes in February’s international friendly match.
The wasps have improved seven places to 130 and are 39th on the continent, accumulating 246 points.
Uganda top the Cecafa charts in 84th place despite dropping three places followed by Sudan who also dropped four places to 104th, Ethiopia (114th), Burundi (115th), Kenya (126th) and Tanzania in 127th place.
Afcon champions Nigeria climbed 22 spots to 30th overall, while quarterfinalists Ivory Coast remained top of the African table, in 12th position overall.
World champions Spain retained top spot in the global list.
