Primus league giants APR FC face Vital’ O of Burundi in a CAF Champions League match at Amahoro stadium on Saturday.
Head coach Eric Nshimiyimana wants his side to go for a victory as the club seeks to launch another attempt to win the Champions league title.
“My team is ready and our mission is to go for a deserved victory ahead of the second leg. We have prepared well so far and hope is that we can get the win we need. It is a vital clash for us as we want to do very well in the Champions League this year,”
Vital’o coach Yaounde Kanyankole said they have prepared well and are confident ahead of the clash.
“I have the same squad which was here last year and we do respect APR FC because we I know their young squad has good football in their legs but a draw will still give us a slight advantage and a win will be very good,” he said.
Both sides have made several appearances in the competition. The Burundian champions will be making their eighth appearance while APR will be making eleven outings.

The first round will see the other African giants, who got byes in this round, making their return. The likes of runners-up Esperance, TP Mazembe, Djoliba (Confederation Cup champions) as well as the Sudanese duo of Al Hilal and Al Merreikh.
