Police FC vs. LLB Academic

Debutants Police FC will be hoping to use home advantage in seeing off Burundi’s LLB Academic in the return leg of the preliminary round of the Orange CAF Confederation Cup on Saturday at Stade de Kigali.

Police FC host Burundian LLB having lost the first leg 0-1 away in Bujumbura a fortnight ago.

Coach Goran Kopunovic insists his team has higher chances of eliminating Lydia Ludic Academic and progress to the first round of the 2013 Africa Confederation Cup.

“It isn’t too complicated to play with just a goal down. We need to score in the return leg and I’m confident we will, but we know how difficult it is going to be.” added the Serb.

LLB Academic who arrived in the country on Thursday are eager to extend their perfect start in bid to reach the first round.

Coach Michel Tuhabonye said on Friday, “We will play a good game  without any fear or pressure. The first leg was poorly played but since we have a 1-goal cushion, I think it is going to be abit easier for our side but we must not give much respect to Police FC,”

“It is a return leg, so we must be very careful and avoid any mistakes that can cost a place in the enxt round,” added Tuhabonye.

The winner of the tie will play against DR Congo’s DC Motema Pembe in the first round.

Elsewhere, Gor, winners of the now defunct African Cup Winners Cup in 1987, are away to ANSE Reunion of the Seychelles having been held 0-0 at home while 1991 Cup Winners Cup holders Power Dynamos take a 1-0 lead over Recreativo Caala to Angola.
