AMAVUBI Stars forward Meddie Kagere is expected to sign a two-year deal with Primus league champions Rayon Sports which will keep him at Nyanza based side until 2015.
He said on Monday, “I might sign for Rayon Sports on Monday or Tuesday. I am still settling a few issues with them. The contract will keep at Rayon Sports until 2015,”
It is reported that Rayon Sports who will compete in the next year’s Orange Champions League is set to recruit the former Police marksman for Rwf. 9 million.
Kagere joins Rayon Sports after his move to Lebanon Premier League side Safa Sporting Club hit a snag after the club failed to include him on the list of his players for next season and has since failed to give him a feedback on his status despite claims that he had passed trials.
In trials with Safa Sc last month, he played four matches and scored three goals. The Rwandan international talisman spent three seasons at Police, scoring 38 league goals.
He is Rwanda’s top scorer in the on-going 2014 world Cup qualifiers with three goals in five matches played so far.
