Amavubi striker Reindorf goes on trial with Scottish Falkirk
AMAVUBI towering forward Jessy Reindorf has spent a week training at The Falkirk Fc stadium, with hope of sealing a professional contract with Gary Holt’s managed side.
With two caps for Amavubi, the 6’5” striker is expected to add a different dimension to Gary Holt’s striking options – currently occupied by Rory loy, Phillip Roberts, Scott Shepherd and Lewis Small.
The Falkirk managed told Scottish media, “He’s a different ingredient for the pot. We’re taking a look at him because he’s different to what we already have.”
He added: “But don’t get me wrong, I’m happy with what we have currently – we’re very good in that department but there may be instances where we could do with something different and Jessy is different to what we already have, so we’re having a look.”
Reindorf has two caps for Rwanda and spent the last six months at Bury where he scored a wonder-goal against Norwich, and came to the ex-Canaries youth chief’s attention.
Reindorf has played club football in Italy, France and Belgium for Comacchio Lidi, CA Paris-Charenton and Union Royale Namur.
He signed a two-year contract with English club Bury in July 2013. Reindorf scored his first goal for Bury on 27 August 2013 Jessy, 6-3 defeat to Norwich City in the Capital One Cup; the goal was described by the BBC as a “spectacular strike.”
Early this month, Reindorf cancelled his contract with Bury to seek greener pastures at Falkirk FC.
