Serumaga thrown out of SCVU camp
Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) have expelled Mike Serumaga from the team hotel and sent home after the midfielder missed a team meeting on Sunday evening.
Serumaga is reported to have sneaked out of the team hotel and returned under the influence of alcohol.
This comes at a time the Ugandan club are preparing for their Caf Confederations Cup engagement away to DRC’s Don Bosco this week.
“We have discussed the issue and decided the best thing was to send the player away from camp,” said SCVU coach Morly Byekwaso, “Such behaviours cannot be entertained at all.
The Ugandan international will not be part of the travelling squad for Saturday’s engagement with CS Don Bosco in DR Congo.
Just last week, SCVU suspended players Savio Kabugo skipper Denis Guma after the pair delayed to report to camp after Uganda’s campaign at the African Nations Championship (Chan) in South Africa. The Cranes were ejected after group stages.
