Birori goes AWOL for two weeks
Amavubi striker Dady Birori has gone away without official leave from his DR Congo club ahead of Africa continental club championships.
According to irisfootball.com, Birori has not trained with the club for over two weeks and he even left without official leave.
The club officials are also dilemma, they don’t know the whereabouts of the player but reports indicate that the player might be in Lubumbashi holding talks with a yet to be known club.
An official who preferred anonymity said, “Birori might be in talks with Don Bosco club such that he can play for them. He still has a contract with Vita and we expected to go with him to Senegal for our training camp because he is our reliable striker with whom we hope to bank on for the upcoming club competitions,”
Efforts of reaching Birori on his phone was futile as he could not pick it.
The former Atraco striker finished last season with the highest goals scored. He scored ten goals in the DR Congo football league last year.
This is not the first time that Birori has left the club without any permission. In 2010, he left Rwandan club SC Kiyovu to play for Lupopo after being signed by coach Raoul Shungu without Kiyovu’s awareness.
