Micho committed to Amavubi

Coach Micho

Amavubi head coach Sredojovic Milutin Micho has shown his commitment to the nation after turning down lucrative offers from seven African nations.

According to local media, the Serbian whose contract with Rwanda’s national team ends in October was wanted by Namibia and Kenya among other nations.

He said, ““I am not going anywhere, I am here, I have a contract with Rwanda, and I am happy doing my work here. I am committed to this nation and after the expiry of my contract, I will decide where to head,”

When Micho took over office, he promised to win the Cecafa Challenge Cup, qualify Rwanda to 2012 or 2013 Africa Cup of Nations finals, 2014 World Cup as well as CHAN finals.

With a few months to the end of his contract, Micho is yet to achieve any of his set targets. His focus now is to prepare for next month’s World Cup 2014 Brazil qualifier against Mali in Kigali.

He has so far played 22 matches, winning eight, losing eight and drawing seven.
