Kagame Cup Champions Yanga SC continued with their winning form as they beat title rivals Azam 1-0 at the National Stadium to increase their lead to three points at top of the Vodacom Premier league Standings.
Ernest Brandts’s side snatched the winner on 39th minute through their on form Amavubi midfielder Haruna Niyonzima.
The Jangwani boys dominated the game to extend their quest to reclaim the league trophy they relinquished last season to arch rivals Simba.
With this result, Yanga who have a game in hand has moved to 39 points, three ahead of second played Azam.
With a game in hand, Brandts team should be viewed as favourites in this title race. The yellow-green sporting side has experience and importantly know how to finish the race.
