Rwandan referees named to handle Champions League tie in Zanzibar

The confederation of African Football Associations (CAF) has appointed four Rwandan referees to officiate a crucial CAF Orange Club Champions league match between Jamhuri and St. George of Ethiopia due this weekend in Zanzibar.

 

The Ferwafa chief of Referees department Athanase Nkubito says Abdul Twagiramukiza will be the center referee and will be assisted by Simba Honore and Bosco Niyitegeka. Issa Kagabo travels as a standby referee.

 

In another development, Gervais Munyanziza, Theogene Ndagijimana, Ambrose and Loius Hakizimana will handle the second leg of the Caf Confederation Cup tie between Al Nasir of South Sudan and Azam of Tanzania in Juba.

 

Meanwhile, the weekend’s Champions league clash between APR and Burundi’s Vital’o  will be handled by Ugandan referees led by Denis Batte. He will be assisted by Hussein Bugembe and Khalifa Kanakulya. Ali Kalyango travels as a standby referee.

 

Tanzania’s Alfred Kishongole is the match commissioner.
