Clubs receive Rwf. 25m increment from Turbo King
BRALIRWA through their beer brand Turbo King has increased a further Rwf. 25 million on the sponsorship package meant for all fourteen League clubs that are competing in the 2013/14 season.
After three seasons successfully endorsed by Bralirwa’s flagship brand, Primus, the new season will be under the colors of Turbo King, the leading brand in the dark beer segment.
Turbo King Football League (TKFL) is expected to speed the development of football after Bralirwa offered a sponsorship package of Rwf 171.200.000 millions for the 2013/14 season.
The sponsorship package includes; media expenses worth Rwf 30m, Rwf 90m to pay directly league clubs, Rwf 36.2 for administrative expenses and Rwf. 15m for performance costs.
Last season, when Bralirwa injected Rwf 160 millions, clubs received Rwf. 75 million to cater for their expenses and with a further 25m increment, each club will be getting Rwf. 6.4 millions.
The National football league has been identified as the most suitable platform for activation for Turbo King. Therefore this sponsorship will be a winning situation for both partners-Bralirwa and Ferwafa.
Said Martine Gatabazi, the Marketing Manager at Bralirwa said, “It is effectual to link Rwandan football to Turbo King. Football is loved all over the world as it is in Rwanda. Turbo King is proud to be associated with thousands of fans, who every Saturday head to stadiums to watch their favourite team compete,”
“They admire passion and quality. Their esteem goes to men with courage and strong conviction and so it is Turbo King,”
Jan Van Velzen, Bralirwa’s Marketing Director said, “Turbo King has been a success story for Bralirwa. We want to link this success to the future of the national football league through the sponsorship of Turbo King and this is part of Bralirwa’s commitment as a social responsible company,”
“Bralirwa is and will always be involved in sport. Stimulating people, bringing enjoyment and giving talent a chance to step up,” added Velzen.
On top of the sponsorship package, Bralirwa will spend a further Rwf. 160m through activation and media campaign to ensure the fans leave a totally new and complete experience of their favourite sport.
