Reus rejects Dortmund offer
Arsenal and Liverpool target, Marco Reus, has rejected a Borussia Dortmund contract extension, according to Germany’s biggest newspaper, Bild.
The Bild reports that contract talks between the player and club collapsed in May, and the midfielder could leave BVB for €35m from 2015, as per his release-clause.
Other European giants looking to pounce on the 25-year-old German forward include Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Barcelona.
However the BVB coach JuergenKlopp is adamant the club will hold on to their two valuable assets currently hunted by European big clubs
“Marco [Reus] and Mats [Hummels] will be playing for us next season. I can assure everybody that there is no sign at all that either of them want to leave,” Klopp told Bild.
Meanwhile, on Monday, Dortmund announced that they are looking to sell five per cent equity in their football club in order to attempt to close the financial gap on Bayern Munich.
