Rwanda : TARDY NAMES STRONG SQUAD AHEAD OF MALI CLASH
The Rwanda U-20 national football team jets off this Wednesday the 8th August 2012 for Mali for the second leg of the U-20 AFCON qualifier that is slated for 12th August the same month. Coach Richard Tardy has named the 18-man squad that will leave for the vital clash.
In the first leg that was played in Kigali, Rwanda narrowly beat Mali 2-1, and a win or a draw of any sort will see the junior wasps heading into the last preliminary round. The aggregate winner of the clash will face either Lesotho or Zambia.
And coach Tardy remains optimistic that the team will pull an impressive performance despite playing away. Of notable absence from the squad are Nirisarike Salomon and Usengimana Faustin. Nirisarike has been denied permission to join his national side by Belgian outfit Antewerp, while Usengimana is struggling with an injury which he sustained in the first leg.
