Talent Detection Centre opens in Musanze
Musanze Volcano’s Detection Talent Centre, a new football academy has opened in Musanze District, Northern Province.
Former Amavubi Stars skipper Desire Mbonabucya is among of the people behind the project which is aiming at developing football in the region.
The Musanze FC chairman Emmanuel Rutaremara told local press over the weekend that the centre will accommodate kids between the age of 8 to 17 with an aim of developing football in the region.
“Though we have officially launched it, so many things need to be done before it becomes fully operational,” added Rutaremera.
Four pairs of full training kits, balls and other equipment for the centre, and many which will be sent to the centre in the upcoming year have all been distributed by Mbonabucya with an aim of turning it into a professional football academy that Musanze FC will be relying on to produce players for the senior team and taking the excellent one for professional trials in Europe.
This academy joins many more which were opened in the country in the past years such as SEC academy, SC Kiyovu academy and the Amavubi centre of excellence.
