Simba fed up with Okwi

Mainland Premier League defending champions Simba say they are fed up with Emmanuel Okwi’s behaviour of delaying to report in the team’s training camp once the players are dispersed.

Simba vice chaiman Geofrey Nyange ‘Kaburu’ was qouted by Tanzanian media on Sunday saying that the Dar es Salaam-based side will this time punish the Ugandan without saying the type of punishment the striker will be subjected to.

Kaburu said that regardless of the club’s effort to call him several times to join the team currently camping in Oman ahead of the Mainland premier league, he has never joined the team.

“He has been disturbing us and he never reports in time whenever we give him a break to go and visit his family in Uganda,” Kaburu said, noting that Okwi has been giving them unfulfilled promises whenever they call him to the team’s camp.

“We are now concentrating on other things which can build our team to be strong but we will punish him once he joins the team. He must know that he is employed by Simba,” Kaburu emphasised.

Okwi who earns more that Sh3m per month extended his contract to play for Simba late last year. The Ugandan is one of the key players at the Club.
