Clubs gearing up for playoffs

Four clubs namely; Espoir, KBC, APR and Cercle Sportif de Kigali are set for this weekend’s Play-offs which will begin on Saturday at Kimisagara Youth Centre.

 

The Rwanda Basketball Federation Secretary General confirmed the development saying that two former winners APR and Circle Sportif de Kigali face off in the first semi-final where the winner will take on victors of the Espoir and KBC clash.

 

Meanwhile, the regular season ended on Sunday with champions Espoir extending their unbeaten run to 16 games all season and will go into the playoffs as firm favourites against Kigali Basketball Club.

 

Espoir beat Kigali Basketball Club 65-35, but the latter regrouped to thrash National University of Rwanda 65-29 in their second game of the day. Kigali Institute of Education lost at home to Rusizi 45-57 to finish the season bottom of the nine-team table standing.

 

APR beat National University of Rwanda and Rusizi 88-51 and 56-54, respectively, to secure the second place.
